It's great to be number 1 isn't it Carl!? Tell you what - don't drink all that wonderful Balvenie now, save it and bring it on the Challenge to share with us as you walk east!!!
Oooo, The Balvenie, don't mind if I do sir!! If we hadn't finished David's Cardhu at Christmas, I'd join you (I haven't bought my supplies for the Challenge yet, wouldn't last that long) I could just sniff the cork...
A sniff always leads to disappointment... So you won't have heard of Tamdhu either then, that's my particular favourite. They're both Speyside malts, try this http://www.scotch-whisky.org.uk/swa/21.html As for Alan's Dallas Dhu, the distillery is just down the road from here, I regularly walk past and I've done 'the tour', interesting stuff and extremely expensive stuff as they stopped producing whisky in 1983. The warehouse is beginning to look quite bare. I bet it's all at Al's place. It's here if you're interested http://dallasdhu.com/ (that's the distillery, not Al's place!) As you can see, I rather like whisky, a rare breed for a woman and English to boot!
Oo, I missed this reply. Yes - you are all topsy-turvy as far as lasses and geography are concerned. You should be drinking baileys with ice in Margate and you know it!
I spotted some Cardhu at Glasgow Airport yesterday, and a nice looking Old Pulteney too. I had to hold back - mustn't replenish until stocks are diminished.

ReplyDeleteIt'll be gone by this weekend!
DeleteNever fear - I'll bring another bottle on the challenge - decanted into a lightweight waterbottle, of course.

ReplyDeleteCardhu, haven't heard of that. Might give it a whirl.
